InclusiSkill: Mastering Facilitation for Inclusive Education
A training course, February 4 - 12, Zlatá Idka, Slovakia
Aim: To increase the quality of inclusive educational activities by developing a competence set for being a trainer/facilitator.
The world today faces challenges related to human rights violations, discrimination, and exclusion, which profoundly affect marginalized communities, including the LGBTI+ community. Engaging in educational activities that promote awareness, understanding, and empathy is essential in combating prejudice and fostering a more inclusive society.
However, conducting these activities effectively requires knowledgeable and adept facilitators who can skillfully navigate sensitive topics and create a safe and respectful learning environment. |
Objectives
- Help support understanding of the role and responsibilities of a trainer/facilitator in an educational activity/project in the context of human rights from start to finish.
- Provide the participants with a set of tools for preparing, following up, and evaluating sessions with groups of young people.
- Equip the participants with the necessary tools to lead non-formal learning sessions, encourage reflection, and support young people during an educational activity.
- Share best practices and strategies for handling difficult situations, working with specific target groups, and adopting an inclusive approach as a trainer/facilitator.
